New Crisis Core V-Jump Scans Scans of the Crisis Core article from the July issue of V-Jump magazine have surfaced. New Crisis Core Scans from Famitsu Scans from the latest issue of Famitsu have surfaced, featuring several new details and screenshots from Crisis Core, including some images and information which were first made available to the public at the Square-Enix Party. Much of the new information focuses on Sephiroth and Genesis, however there is more new information on the DMW system, as well as materia customization. The materia will be fully customizable, with a wide variety of command materia such as "Steal" in addition to magics. It also shows the Limit Break obtained by lining up three Aerith slots, Healing Wind. A more detailed report should be posted soon. Crisis Core Website Update - Price Info and FFVII 10th Anniversary The official Crisis Core website has been updated with the game's release date, price, and with new information on the Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Potion, as well as the announcement of a Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Ultimania. It describes the new FFVII 10th Anniversary Potion bottle as being made by the Shinra Company, and to look forward to further information. Square-Enix Party 2007 - Crisis Core Info Dump, Part 1 Square-Enix Party 2007 has come and gone, and while there weren't any major announcements regarding the Compilation of FFVII, there was a great deal of content for Crisis Core, including a playable demo with two scenarios, a new trailer (longer than any of the previous ones), and a music sampler CD. There was also the announcement of the Japanese release date, and the first information on the game's vocal theme, among other details. As the first part of a series of updates focusing on Crisis Core, I will begin with some basic information. Prototypes of FF7 PA Cloud and Tifa figures at SE Party '07 Prototypes of the Cloud and Tifa figures from the FF7 PLAY ARTS series were on display at the Square-Enix Party. Along with these figures was the FF7 PLAY ARTS Aerith figure. There was also a sample display of a colored Hardy Daytona. The display also included the AC PLAY ARTS line with the new figures of Kadaj, Reno as well as the Sephiroth and Cloud FF Masterpiece Figures. A new sculpture of Aerith praying to Holy on the alter in the City of the Ancients was exhibited. Also on display were pendants of the Black and White Materia, both silver and black "One-Winged Angel ~Sephiroth~" pendants, and Cloud's bangle. Crisis Core SE Party '07 News Crisis Core news from the Party has already begun to filter in. The Square-Enix Party 2007 Archive book, which features information on the major titles of the show, has revealed some new information. Genesis' full name has been revealed as Genesis Rhapsodos. Genesis: "We're monsters. We've lost our pride, and our dreams." Sephiroth: "If that were the case, I just might abandon Shinra." Square-Enix Party 2007 News Incoming Just a reminder that Square-Enix Party 2007 will be beginning soon, at Makuhari Messe in Japan. They held a press conferance yesterday, and though there wasn't any information concerning the Compilation of FFVII, they did offer information on the Star Ocean and Crystal Chronicles series, as well as a new Chocobo Dungeon game and a new franchise, Last Remnant. The Party will be a two day event and is open to the public. They will be showing a number of games, both new and old, and will also celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Final Fantasy series. Compilation titles scheduled to make appearances include Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus Lost Episode, Advent Children Complete, and of course, Crisis Core. They will also be giving away a number of gifts to attendees, including a Crisis Core CD and a music sample CD containing a track from the upcoming Before Crisis & Last Order OST. Please be aware, however, that Square-Enix has a particularily notorious security policy, so videos and photographs will probably be a rarity. News will likely begin streaming in tonight and continue through the weekend, so check back frequently for coverage. New Crisis Core Scan Scans from an upcoming issue of Weekly Jump have surfaced, including a new article about Crisis Core. This article includes CG renders and screenshots of Genesis and Sephiroth, as well as a bit of information on them. It also includes some information about the summoning system, and an illustration of Ifrit. Genesis is a 1st Class SOLDIER who frequently reads from the epic, Loveless. He went missing during combat in Wutai, and began conducting secret manuevers in opposition of Shinra. For this reason, Zack and Sephiroth were assigned to track down and capture him. It also mentions that Zack is one of the few friends that Sephiroth has. Summons seem to be used by customizing the DMW system after defeating them in battle.
