Dirge of Cerberus has been dubbed a "shooter RPG", combining gameplay from both first person shooters, and the typical role-playing game. The game is formatted for the Playstation 2, and is scheduled for a Japan release sometime in 2005. You play the role of Vincent Valentine, the ex-Turk and mysterious gunman from the original Final Fantasy VII. The game is being developed by Square-Enix.
