Script :: Chapter 2 - Battle in the Wastes
*Somewhere in Edge, WRO soldiers are fighting with DG soldiers. Then all of a sudden a black mist appeared behind one of the WRO soldiers and he is gone. The other one didn't realize his comrade is missing.*

WRO soldier (Male) : Hey, pass me some bullets.

*He notices the black mist and he too got sucked into the mist and disappeared.*

 


*Scene cuts to another place in Edge, again more WRO soldiers are trying to infiltrate the factory area but the black mist tagged them one by one from behind.*

WRO captain: Where are those people who have been trapped?

*The captain and his members look around and all of a sudden, they heard foot steps landing behind them. Camera then starts to zoom into a pair of high heel boots, and it pans upward to a red figure - Rosso.*

Rosso: *laughs*

WRO captain: Huh..? What…who are you?

Rosso: Rosso. Everyone calls me Rosso the Crimson Impact.

WRO captain: Zvets?

*Rosso holds up her weapon and the blades on the opposite ends start to extend itself. The WRO captain was confused by her action and in a short while, Rosso already appeared behind the group and slashes them from behind.*

Rosso: What a bunch of weaklings. They won't even survive a day in Deep Ground.

*Then Rosso looks toward the glass window on the ceiling as though she noticed something and the screen fades black.*

 


*Scene cuts to Vincent travelling with Reeve on a WRO vehicle (Shadow Fox) towards Edge.*

Vincent: Reeve, those people, who are they?

Reeve: Deep Ground soldier…

Vincent: Deep Ground?

Reeve: Yes, what we've called Deep Ground is created by the late President of Shinra. Its existence is being hidden from the public, the darkness of Shinra.

Vincent: Darkness…?

Reeve: They defy the laws of all morals. They are an organization that only cares about taking people away and making them into stronger soldiers, and later subjecting them to experiments and research.

Vincent: ……

Reeve: The man whom you have met earlier, Azul, is one of the members of Zvets, which they are also known as the "Elite Soldiers" of Deep Ground. These information are being classified as top secret, so I don't have a lot of knowledge about them at the moment…But to an extent…

Vincent: Even being one of the executives of Shinra, you know nothing about this?

Reeve: No, I am afraid other than the President, those who know about the existence of these Deep Ground soldiers are the Military personnel at the top, namely Heidegger and Scarlet. Also, Hojo, who worked in the Scientific Chemical department.

*Vincent suddenly turns his head towards Reeve to show a sign that he was surprised at the word Hojo.*

Reeve: The President alternation happened so quickly that even Rufus doesn't seem to know a thing about Deep Ground. As for me, who was responsible for Urban Development, not even touching base on the subject of Deep Ground, its existence and all the information are out of my reach. Those Deep Ground information that I have just told you came from the notes left by Scarlet, which was identified a few days ago. *sigh* By the way, are you aware of the mass disappearance that happened in Junon?

Vincent: Yea, I've heard there were around 10 people who disappeared all together and they were never found…but…

Reeve: Generally speaking, yes, it was like that.

Vincent: …?

Reeve: In order to avoid the truth to be leaked and receiving panic from the public, we've decided to manipulate the information.

Vincent: ……

Reeve: As a matter of fact, the real number of people who went missing in that incident were…1200.

*Vincent looks as though he is startled by the amount of people who went missing.*

Vincent: …….

Reeve: 1200 individuals disappeared without a trace. Though afterwards, WRO took on the responsibility and investigate on this issue, we don't have enough people to perform this amount of work and the investigation hit the neck of the bottle. Then around that time, somewhere in Edge, there was an eerie rumour that being spread. "Night after night, cries that resemble humans are being heard from Midgar." Is it the sound of the wind? No…it comes in 10s….or maybe even in hundreds of voices of people who seem to be suffering. Can you hear it? These sounds can be heard in the voices of the wind…

*All of a sudden something appeared on the screen.*

WRO soldier: Please, please look at the monitor! It is being broadcasted to everywhere!

*Reeve and Vincent turned towards the monitor and watch.*

Vice: The time has come. From now on, we are going to hunt down every single thing on this planet. Those who are chosen, shall be excused from being "nourishment". Those who don't even deserve the value of being chosen, shall be awarded with carnage, slaughter, hanged, disposed, striked, killed, clubbed, assassinated, suppressed, strangled, gored, shot, pulverized. From now on, we are going to hunt down everything on this planet. Hahahahahahahaha, mwahahahaha.

*The transmission ended.*

Reeve: The broadcast just now was…?

*The truck hits something.*

Reeve: What is this?

*Reeve goes to the end of the truck and opened the door. As he opened the door, he saw a Guard Hound. When it almost got Reeve, Vincent shoots the Guard Hound from behind.*

Reeve: Guard Hound?

*Then they see that more are coming. Vincent shoots a few more.*

Vincent: Let me become their opponent, and while I am at it, you run for it.

*Reeve runs toward the center of the truck and levelled the machine gun from the floor.*

Reeve: Vincent, please use this.

*Vincent sits on it and started shooting the Guard Hounds. When he thought he was finished with them, the hounds jumped on top of S.Fox.*

Reeve: !? Vi..Vincent?

*Then he jumped on top of the S.Fox and kills more.*

*After killing a few more on top of the S.Fox, the truck reached a broken bridge, and the chase is still not finished. The truck flew across the river and it lands on the other side, while Vincent shoots down another in pursue.*

Vincent: Are you okay?

Reeve: Yea, but it seems that the engine got damaged… I'd like to apologize about this, but could you please head to Edge right away? As for me, I still have to deal with the broadcast that happened awhile ago. Afterwards, I think I will have to fix Shadow Fox, and then head straight back to the WRO headquarter. You should expect a party there already. If it is probable, I would like you to help them with liberating Edge from the DG.

Vincent: There is no choice [but to do so.]

 


*After Vincent departed from where they crashed, he saw a group of Guard Hound, and with his marksmanship, he defeated them all again. As he is about to walk away, the Guard Hound was about to make a sneak attack when Vincent just kicks it up into the air and shoots it a few times.*

*Not walking too far away from the Guard Hounds, Vincent saw a few DG soldiers on air scooter-like things. Shoots it down and then moves his cape out of the way as he proceeds to Edge.*
