Q: I clicked on a link to one of the other Compilation Sites, how can I get
back to the site I was on?
A: Compilation Network is designed so you can simply jump to another network
site. You can navigate to other network sites by clicking on the links at the top
of each page.
Q: I have registered on the forums, but I cannot post, why?
A: If you have registered and cannot post on the forums, it is most likely because
you have not activated your account, or we have not approved it.
When registering, ensure that you use a valid email address. An email is sent to
this address with a link to click on. Click this link to activate your account.
Note that some free email services like Hotmail and Yahoo may put this email in
the Junk email folder if you have junk email filtering turned on. So if you cannot
find it, check there.
Secondly, we approve all registrations to try to weed out duplicate accounts by
trollers and trouble makers. Registrations are generally approved within 24 hours,
however approval is not instantaneous, so please be patient.
Q: What is the name of the font that you use for the menu text such as "Site
Menu", "Affiliates" and "Home" on Advent Children.net?
A: The font is called Scriptina by Apostrophic Labs. As their site is no longer
online, we have made the fonts available to download from this site in both Windows
and Mac formats.
Q: I am interested in becoming a staff member, but you do not have any positions
available. How can I become one?
A: Unfortunately we cannot offer everyone a position. However any available
positions will be advertised on the staff page.
Please do not email us asking to become a staff member if it is not an advertised
position, as we will have to decline your request. Although we do appreciate your
offer, there just aren't enough positions to go around. And too many staff on a
site can just cause a lot of havoc.
Occasionally we also are on the lookout for forum moderators for our forums. Although
we do not usually advertise these positions, generally they are awarded to members
who are active, don't break any rules, are friendly and helpful to others, and have
impressed us in some way or another.
Q: I run a website and am interested in becoming an
affiliate. How can I become one as I cannot find an application form on your site?
A: Currently we are not accepting new affiliates for Advent Children.net as
we prefer to maintain a small list. However several positions are open on Dirge
of Cerberus.net. However, this doesn't mean that we won't make exceptions. You are
free to email us about affiliation and if we are extremely impressed with your site,
we may accept you.
Generally we are looking for a site with a professional and/or unique layout, up
to date and complete content, it's own domain name [or part of a major network]
and minimum of 1000 unique hits a day. Oh, and definitely no pop-up advertising!
So please don't be too upset if we reply back with a "no", it doesn't mean we don't
like your site or don't think it's good. We'd love to accept everyone, but with
a site this size, we just have to be picky with our affiliates and therefore have
a strict set of rules in place. If we weren't so strict, we'd probably have a list
of affiliates a mile long, as we sure do get a lot of enquiries!
We may be offering more affiliate positions on our network sites in the near future,
so keep an eye out.
Q: I've emailed you, but I still haven't received a response?
A: As a popular website, we receive a lot of email every day. Unfortunately
only one person can access this and in between working on the site and real life,
it may take a while to receive a response. It is not uncommon to have to wait a
couple of weeks or more for a response. But we do attempt to get back to everyone
who sends us a reasonable request. However abusive and/or inappropriate emails are
likely to be ignored accordingly.
Q: I'm still unsure about my enquiry, how can I find out more?
A: If you wish, you may contact us through our
contact form and we will try to answer your question
as best we can.
